Nick Kyrgios is an Australian professional tennis player who is currently ranked world No.17

His full name is Nicholas Hilmy Kyrgios.

He is 6ft 4in tall and is a right-handed player.

He is 22 years old and already has 4 career titles to his name. The highest rank he has achieved till now is 13.

Why is he famous?

He is quite known within the tennis community, though for both good and bad reasons.

The good reason, for which he is famous, is that he is the second player after fellow Australian Lleyton Hewitt to beat Roger FedererRafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic in their first meeting.

Even non-tennis lovers would know that Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic are very popular and famous tennis personalities.
They always rank in the top 5. Beating them is no easy feat and that too in one's first match.

However, Nick Kyrgios has been able to do just that.

But he is quite infamous on the court due to his temperamental nature and temper. He is quite a controversial player with a list of controversies to his name.
One can read all about it here

Australian Open 2018

In the ongoing Australian open, Nick Kyrgios is participating as well and has reached the fourth round.

Some hints of his temperamental behavior have been seen in matches such as the one against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

However, he was able to control it and register a win.

Man with Potential

Nick Kyrgios has long been said to be a man with the potential to be amongst the top tennis players. But his nature has not allowed him to reach those heights till now, after making an entry in 2013.

If he is able to control his temper and follow discipline, he might just be another tennis great in the making.
