Diwali Shopping - Solimo Wax Tealight Candles | Unboxing & Review

Diwali is an auspicious Hindu festival which is celebrated in autumn every year. It symbolises the victory of good over evil. According to the ancient Hindu texts, on this day Lord Ram arrived back to his home city of Ayodhya after 14 long years of exile, and after defeating the evil demon Ravan. The residents of Ayodhya lit up the city with diyas to welcome him and celebrate his return.

Hence, this festival is also known as the festival of lights.

On this day, every Indian decorates their house with candles, lights and diyas, and prays to God for their blessings.

Since Diwali is a festival of light, what can be a better Diwali shopping than buying great value for money candles for decorating our homes!

In this article, I am going to share my review of SOLIMO TEALIGHT CANDLES that I buy every year for my Diwali preparations. This is an amazing value for money product and really is a great addition to your Diwali decoration.

Solimo Tealight Candles - unboxing

This product is one of the best and easy to use candles you can buy on Amazon. It comes packed in a cardboard box with simplistic, yet attractive, design.

The box contains a small thank you card, with some message, from the company.

I really like this gesture and attention to small details. Below this card are the tealight candles, which are neatly arranged in multiple layers.

The candles are circular in shape with a metal outer shell. They have a wax filling which is very soft to touch. A small wick extends from the wax. The overall build quality is pretty solid and worth the price it retails for.

The candles themselves have a very good build quality. The wax is very soft to touch and appears to be of high quality. It is not sticky and does not produce harmful fumes while burning.

Since the candles are circular in shape with a flat bottom, it is very easy to set them.

Traditional candles need to be affixed on the walls or surfaces by using molten wax. But these do not require such a procedure. You can simply place them anywhere on a flat surface and that's it. You don't need to drop molten wax to affix it. Nor do you need to bother about the molten wax dripping from the sides of the candle on to the surface. By using these candles, you can ensure that your surface stays neat and clean.

Since these candles are small, you can easily place them inside diyas, lamps or any other designer showpieces as well.

Each candle can burn for around 2.5 to 3 hours until all its wax evaporates. Some may find this quite less when compared to traditional candles which can be very thick and long and can burn for long hours.

However, I have personally never found the burn duration of these candles to be an issue. And if you do find the time duration less, you can buy the 100 candle pack and replace the extinguished candles with new ones easily, anytime.

Final Thoughts

I have been using these candles for a couple of years now for my Diwali decorations and I personally find them really amazing and value for money. they are really very easy to set up and use.

They can definitely be a very useful addition to your Diwali decoration plans and provide you with the versatility to experiment with new ideas.
